BALANCE CONFIRMATION – SAMPLE LETTER | EMAIL

There are two types of Balance confirmation we need to get for Balance sheet preparation before 31st march.

Every financial years starts with April-01 and ends on 31st March. To file your income tax you need to prepare all your Trading, Profit and Loss account and Balance sheet. When you preparing Balance Sheet you need to show all your bank balance as on 31st march in Assets side. 

1. BALANCE CONFIRMATION FROM BANK

when your are preparing Balance sheet you need to get Balance Confirmation from your banker. Because the sometimes internet banking might be shown a wrong closing balance. so before showing the closing balance in Balance sheet you we have to get written confirmation from the banker.

1. BALANCE CONFIRMATION FROM CUSTOMER

Balance confirmation from customer is also necessary as getting from bank. If you are doing a business you should get Balance Confirmation from your all your debtors and creditors before preparing for balance sheet. Because once you show your receivable and payable balance in income tax, you should not edit that again. so make sure the balance in your accounts book is correct. Getting balance confirmation from customer is the only better option to check your creditors and debtors balance is correct or not.

Otherwise we will take this balance is correct.

Tips

Always get confirmation from creditors and debtors in every 3 months.

Not need to get quarter confirmation from bank

Keep filing you hard copies of the confirmation letter with account statement.
